Welcome to The Inn at Whiteface—a unique Adirondack bed and breakfast. Your home away from home awaits your arrival. Located 8 miles from Lake Placid, staying at The Inn is convenient to all that Lake Placid has to offer—without the traffic and bustle of staying on Main Street. With so many different activities close by, you will find lots of things you will want to see or try. The Inn offers you an alternative to the pricey lodges and generic motels and hotels. The peaceful surroundings of The Inn, located at the base of the fifth highest mountain in the Adirondacks, promises you a relaxing stay.  
  
All of our 11 rooms have two double beds with many having an additional twin. Our rooms often accommodate families with 3 children. They all have private baths with tub and shower, robes, hairdryer, and unlimited towels. Each room has a TV, CD, tape player, and radio. Just outside your door is a coffee and tea maker, refrigerator, and microwave. There is also an armoire full of toiletries and extra towels. Our bed and breakfast rates range from $99 to $145 and include a full country breakfast and complimentary snacks and beverages.

Relax by the fireplace or on the porch enjoying gorgeous views of the ski slopes. If you are over 21, you may BYOB to our bar. Although The Inn is not a motel, it can be used in place of one if that is all you require. Ask about our special "motel rate" available on certain nights. We also have a "take over the whole inn rate." We will accommodate your needs if you choose to bring your own food to eat in our spacious dining room, or would like to have a special occasion or meal catered. During ski season, staying in for dinner can be arranged.

The Inn at Whiteface is perfect for group events. Come to The Inn and hold a family reunion, an office meeting, birthday party, shower, or gather a large group of friends to ski at Whiteface. Woman's sabbaticals and men’s sport outings are our specialty. We can include spa appointments, arrange golf outings, fly fishing clinics, etc. Uses for The Inn are endless. Check our Events Page for happenings at The Inn. The objective of The Inn is to be a comfortable and fun place for sportsmen and woman, families and friends, a romantic getaway or retreat. Children of all ages love it here. Totaling over 12,000 square feet, it is cozy enough to feel personal, while spacious enough to comfortably accommodate groups.

Although there's lots to do in the immediate area, often simply relaxing at The Inn may be what the doctor ordered. At night, weather permitting, you may want to sit around the fire and indulge in s'mores, or use our telescope to view the stars up close. We have an abundance of games, books, exercise equipment, over 400 DVD and VCR tapes, CDs, a player piano, massage chair, spa electronics, karaoke machine, not to mention toys for all ages, a basketball game and pool table. For those of you who exercise daily there are mats and space available for you to use your own exercise video or one from our diversified collection which include Pilate's and Yoga as well. There's also a Weder Cross Bow.  

In the winter, The Inn is THE place to stay. Ski packages are our specialty since we are the closest lodge to Whiteface Mountain— rated the number one ski resort in the eastern US for three years straight. Whiteface hosted the downhill ski events for both the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics, and held the Alpine Championship for the last two years. It is a must-try experience for skiers of all levels. Enjoy a hot country-style breakfast before heading out to the slopes, and relax after beside a roaring fireplace. We have sleds and snowshoes for the borrowing, and unlimited hot chocolate. If downhill is not your speed, there are cross country as well as snowmobile packages available.    

In the summer, take a scenic gondola ride to the summit of Little Whiteface and enjoy stunning views of the Adirondack High Peaks. If mountain biking is your passion, when the snow has melted, enjoy the challenging slopes once again. Packages including bike rentals and lift fees are available. Hiking on all levels is also close by. The Town beach is only 3 miles away and a favorite swimming hole less then a mile. In our backyard you may want to BBQ, toss horseshoes, play croquet, badminton or practice your golf. It’s your home away from home.

If you are interested in fly-fishing, we offer a "learn to fly fish" package with all that you need. We can locate guides for enthusiasts on all levels. The Ausable River, one of the finest trout steams in the east, is within walking distance of The Inn. You can hear it from your bedroom window.

Golfers rejoice! We package greens fees at reduced rates. There are several challenging and scenic courses close by that you will love to play. Bring your favorite foursome or two and let the fun begin.
